What is Botox used for?

Botox is used cosmetically to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by temporarily paralysing the muscles, which cause the skin to crease.

What are Fillers used for?

Dermal and Lip Fillers are injected into the tissue to boost the skin’s supply of hyaluronic acid, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, contour the face and to create volume.

Both of these injectable treatments are used (often together) to minimise the signs of ageing and to give a more youthful appearance.

Not Just for Women…

These injectables work just as well on both males and females, yet the majority of advertising is aimed at women.

Because of this, there is a stigma attached to male cosmetic procedures. Many men feel uncomfortable putting themselves forward for Fillers and Botox and wouldn’t admit to having injectables. It is true that the doctor conducting the procedure should be experienced with male patients because men’s faces are inherently different to women’s. Men generally want to enhance different areas and the skin is more robust. However, in the right hands, Botox and Fillers can be used effectively to reduce the signs of ageing and enhance men’s natural beauty too.
